| Mark blogs for the Asbury Park Press, writes an advice column for journalism magazine Quill and frequently contributes op-ed pieces to major publications. He also is writing a book on careers in the media, due out in 2009. Previously, he worked as a reporter for five years for large newspapers around the country. He has covered the suburbs for the Providence Journal, manned the night cops beat for the Arizona Republic, served as state capital bureau chief for a Pennsylvania newspaper chain and tracked Congress for a wire service. His freelance articles have appeared in the Boston Globe, Newsday, Philadelphia Inquirer, Congressional Quarterly, trade and specialty magazines, academic journals and foreign publications. Mark was editor of his college's student newspaper. |
